My Story

Welcome to wildscapes.info

Dive into the world of Wildscapes.info, a creation by someone passionate about nature and capturing stunning photos. These images showcase the beauty of islands such as Noonu Lhohi, Hulhumale, and other Maldivian gems. Currently, I work as a graphic designer at Maldives Islamic Bank, but my heart remains with my beloved island, Noonu Lhohi.

Nature Snapshots

I enjoy capturing the beauty of plants and animals through my lens. My website is like a visual journey into the heart of biodiversity. Join me as we explore the wonders of our environment, one photo at a time. I’ve been lucky to win first, second, and third places in various nature contests more than four times.

Exploring Nature's Beauty: Teen Adventures on Remote Islands

Nature’s Beginnings: When I was a teenager, I explored deserted islands with friends, finding hidden wonders in the clear blue waters and snorkeling in the secrets beneath. These islands may seem empty, but they’re not untouched, often visited by people looking for peace.

Harmony of Learning and Sea Adventures

Beyond my work, I once spent six months fishing for yellowfin tuna. It wasn’t just a job; it felt like forming connections with the ocean and its creatures. I developed a deep love for the seas.

Seeds of Wildscapes.info

Seven years ago, I had the idea to create a website dedicated to biodiversity—a database, but various reasons delayed its realization. Now, upon reflecting on this, I’ve decided to design the site in a magazine style, where information about biodiversity and the environment can be shared. Hence, I’ve launched Wildscapes.info because there hasn’t been enough online discourse about the amazing biodiversity of the Maldives. It serves as a platform to share photos and information about the rich flora and fauna. This endeavor represents my commitment to the Maldives and the world.

Youthful Explorations—Navigating New Waters

In my younger days, my brothers, friends and I sailed to uninhabited islands. They might not have been grand, but they were our ticket to youthful exploration—snorkeling, fishing, and tree-climbing. It was lots of fun. We traveled in a traditional sailing boat that was built by my father.

Family Crafts and Support

In a family of craftsmen, my dad, a skilled carpenter, made the boats that carried our dreams. My brothers supported my photography journey with cameras and equipment, leading to multiple contest wins. My family, wife, and lovely son have been my greatest support in all these endeavors. Without their support, I couldn’t have accomplished this work. Additionally, some of my friends have also played a significant role in helping me.

Wildscapes.info: Sharing Nature's Wonders, One Snapshot at a Time

Wildscapes.info: More Than Pictures – It’s a Promise. Even with money challenges, I love sharing nature knowledge. I’m building a database for the Maldives, the world, and future generations. Any help, especially for better camera gear, means a lot.

Mangrove Memories—Youthful Fun

In the past, when I lived on the island, life was like a never-ending song. I used to run in mangrove areas, have fun, and play a lot, which made me love nature even more.
